ESG
Sustainability at the Core
As part of a development already recognised with a for it’s sustainability targeting NABERS 5*, BREEAM Outstanding, WELL certification, WiredScore Platinum and SmartScore Gold, Hill Dickinson’s fit out continues this sustainability journey by pursuing SKA Gold accreditation.
Guided by DENTON’s Sustainability Operational Framework and the SKA V1.2 standard, the project integrated low-carbon, circular economy, and responsible procurement principles at every stage.
- 87.37% of waste was recycled, 12.60% converted to energy, and just 0.02% (9.23 kg) went to landfill.
- Sustainable materials were prioritised — including FSC-certified timber, low-to-zero VOC finishes, and insulation with a GWP<5.
- The project achieved the highest scoring level under the Considerate Constructors Scheme, with full marks across environment, health & safety, and community categories.
This commitment reflects the firm’s proactive approach to environmental responsibility, aligning with broader corporate ESG objectives and demonstrating how thoughtful design and fit out can contribute to a greener, more responsible built environment.

- 11 local SMEs, 1 apprenticeship, and 1 internship supported.
- Partnerships with Sow the City, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Oakwood Academy delivering biodiversity, education, and wellbeing initiatives.
- A dedicated Wellness Zone created during construction for rest and mindfulness — retained as a permanent wellbeing space post-handover.
- Food and clothing drives for Mustard Tree, fostering community support and team participation.
All outcomes were tracked through the Social Value Portal, ensuring transparency and evidence-based reporting.
