Overview
Following the success of a previous project, RSM once again partnered with DENTON for the design and fit out of their Glasgow office — the second collaboration with our Manchester team. Building on an established and trusted relationship, the project evolved over the course of a year through a highly collaborative process. RSM came to the table with a clear design playbook outlining their brand standards, preferred layouts, materials, and finishes. DENTON brought our design expertise and creative flair to interpret these standards and deliver a space that remains distinctly RSM while being tailored to the needs of their Glasgow team.
Solution
Flexibility and future-proofing were at the heart of the design approach. The workspace was designed to adapt to future growth with minimal disruption — achieved through thoughtful space planning and the use of a limited carpet pattern palette, enabling desking and zoning to evolve over time.
The arrival area creates an immediate impression of RSM’s brand, featuring a timber slat wall and a striking logo set against the company’s midnight blue. Throughout the office, DENTON focused on acoustic performance, an essential consideration given the exposed services and open-plan layout. Horizontal acoustic rafts in RSM’s colours add vibrancy while controlling sound, and suspended acoustic screens help to subtly define zones and enhance comfort.
Meeting rooms were designed with layered acoustic treatments, including sound-absorbing carpet, PET wall panels for texture and warmth, and fabric ceiling rafts for further noise reduction. Collaboration was also central to the project’s delivery — particularly through coordination with RSM’s AV and furniture suppliers, where DENTON facilitated multiple workshops to ensure technology and workspace design integrated seamlessly.
